We support our instructors on all stages of the State Alpine Skiing Diploma thanks to our various training courses, active field teaching and recognized professional supervisors.
Our Bank Slalom training accompanies trainee instructors in their preparation for the timed technical demonstration of the snowboard activity. This training is an opportunity to refine your technical and practical skills over one or more weeks in the pre-season. Come and enjoy exceptional training conditions at our Tignes training camp.
Who is the coach?
A former national level alpine ski racer and international cross-country ski racer (World Cup), Romain passed a Deug STAPS and then several State Diplomas (Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Swimming) before branching off into teaching at the Les Menuires ESF, particularly on competition courses.
Recruited by the Les Menuires Club and the Pôle France at the Lycée de St Michel de Maurienne as a physical trainer for the alpine/cross-country/snowboard groups, he went on to manage the Savoie Ski Committee's snowboard teams before spending 5 years coaching foreign national teams (Canada, Australia, China) on the snowboard World Cup circuit (cross-country and slalom); he was also involved as a technician and equipment developer with the Canadian women's team at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.
At 47, and back on his feet after the Covid episode, Romain was looking for a new professional challenge. He saw in the Pro Outdoor Academy the perfect environment to pass on his values, share his expertise and enable trainee instructors to progress in snowboarding and pass the Bank Slalom exam.
