📃how to choose your child's ski course?
The location: All the children's ski lessons offered by Evolution 2 Chamonix take place at the Panda Club in Argentière, at the foot of the Plan Joran ski lift. In the heart of a forest, in a safe environment, the Panda Club has its own ski slopes, with private lifts.There is also a large garden equipped for the youngest levels as well as a chalet that welcomes children for lunch or the indoor activities of our Winter Games
Lunch: when your child is old enough to no longer need an afternoon nap it is possible to have lunch on site for morning or full day courses during the school holidays. Note: we are not equipped for nap time. Please consult details at the bottom of the page.
Number of participants: 4 to 8 children maximum per instructor. If the minimum of 4 children is not reached, the lesson will not take place. You will then be notified 48 hours in advance.

DISCOVER THE DIFFERENT LEVELS
➡️ BEGINNER LEVEL : YOUR CHILD'S FIRST TURN
Age: from 3 to 9 years old
Level: for beginner children who have never skied
What they will learn: taking skis on and off, getting up, walking slightly uphill, using the ski lifts, following snowplow turns on a beginners slope.

Level: having acquired the Yétison level (or equivalent), i.e. knowing how to take on and off skis, getting up, linking turns, snowplow on a small slope.
What they will learn: Side stepping upwards on a gentle slope, getting up on their own after a fall, testing their balance (bumps, soft snow, small jumps, etc…), using the ski lifts, mastering snowplow and parallel turns on a green run.
➡️ INTERMEDIATE LEVEL : GET YOUR SKIS READY, OUR SLOPES ARE WAITING FOR YOU !
Level: has acquired the "Petit yeti" level (or equivalent, snowflake), i.e.: getting up on your own after a fall, knowing how to use the ski lifts, mastering snowplow turns with skis parallel whilst traversing the green slopes.
What they will learn: Stem turns on an easy slope, skating, traversing the slope (using edges), positioning and balance control with poles, snowplow turn and skid braking finish » on a green run.
Level: has acquired the "1st Yeti" level (or equivalent, 1st star), i.e.: can do perfect skater's step, can do skid turns, knows how to do direct tracks across a slope with the ski edges.
What they will learn: Round skid and diagonal skid, direct crossing on varied terrain with jumps and bumps, control of the general attitude on skis (position of the hands, poles and knees in front), parallel turns on blue slopes.
Level: has acquired the "2nd Yeti" level (or equivalent, 2nd star), i.e.: can easily do parallel turns on blue runs.
What they will learn: Direct track and braking skid stops, use of upper body movement to initiate turns, bumps on red slopes, skiing posture, perfect parallel turns with use of poles on red slopes.
Level: has acquired the "3rd Yeti" level (or equivalent, 3rd star), i.e.: knows how to ski on bumps and do parallel turns on red runs.
What they will learn: Improvement of all types of turns on black slopes, braking, introduction to carving, varying terrains, introduction to freestyle in an official and secure snowpark.
➡️ EXPERT LEVEL : DISCOVERING AND IMPROVMENT OFF-PISTE SKIING, from 8 years old.
Level : have acquired the "Super Yeti" level (or equivalent, bronze star), i.e.: at ease with all types of turns on black runs. Have a good level of overall skiing and be comfortable.
What they will learn: Improvement of technique on red and black runs, improvement of skiing moguls on red runs, off-piste skiing and safety equipment (DVA, shovel, probe), mountain risk training.
Level : For children who have acquired “Junior Academy 1”, at ease with moguls on red slopes, at ease skiing on red and black slopes, has done some off-piste skiing.
What they will learn: Skiing moguls on a black slope, skiing off-piste and speed control, using safety equipment (DVA, shovel, probe), getting up after a fall off-piste.
Level : Be a good skier, be at least 12 years old, know how to ski on all slopes and all types of snow.
What they will learn: Improve mogul skiing on black slopes, improve off-piste skiing, learn small rhythmic and dynamic turns, improve skills in the use of safety equipment (DVA, shovel, probe), learn how to recognize different types of snow, discover off-piste routes in the Chamonix Valley.
Information: the course takes place over 5 full days. Children change ski areas every day and discover different off-piste mountains in the valley. A very complete course for guaranteed improvement. You have to take a picnic lunch.
